Restaurant specialist
As an apprentice catering specialist, you will learn to set tables correctly and appropriately for the occasion, prepare glasses, china and cutlery cleanly and carefully and fold napkins correctly. Cleaning and preparation work are just as important as compliance with hygiene regulations. Catering specialists welcome guests and advise them competently on the choice of dishes and serve them. Work in front of the guest, such as filleting and carving fish and meat, and the professional serving of drinks are also part of the job. Other exciting activities include correct cashing up and billing as well as politely saying goodbye to guests at the end of their stay.

As a chef, you will prepare hot and cold dishes and present them in a decorative and creative way. You will learn to prepare tasty dishes from high-quality seasonal foods and present them attractively on the plate. During mealtimes, the kitchen is a hectic place. Together with your colleagues in the service department, you will ensure smooth workflows and good interaction between the kitchen brigade and the service team. You are also jointly responsible for ensuring that the kitchen always looks clean and tidy.
